Yoga & Music

Katya is a yoga teacher (RYT-200) and kirtan artist teaching and practicing out of Durham and Denver. She is passionate about yoga that is radically healing, empowering, non-performative and respectful of each student. Her primary and subsequent teacher trainings were rooted in Ayurveda and trauma-informed yoga. For Bhakti, she studied at the Heart of Yoga School in Carrboro, NC and has a Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca College School of Music in Music Education/Voice.

    Open to all, but centering the queer & trans community as a safe container for practice and healing. Invigorating vinyasa sequences supporting bodily autonomy, trauma healing, community resilience, radical self-acceptance and authenticity- a truly dynamic practice.
